Pōtus WanNabē Cache...*  (Click Here to log your visit with GeoCaching.com)

The star of this cache was a three time United States Presidential loser, but did serve as the United States Secretary of State under Woodrow Wilson from 1913 to 1915. On this adventure you will see his famous likeness, as depicted by Mt. Rushmore creator Gutzon Borglum, you will visit a place he used to hang out as a boy, and you will get to explore a park named for him. Enjoy your journey! You may want to take a calculator along to make the expedition a little bit easier.

Stage 1...

Go to N38 38.136 w088 56.714 where you'll find a statue one of Salem's most famous sons, William Jennings Bryan. Once there, find the year that the roadside plaque was dedicated. The year is XXXX. Use the year in the following equation: 73510.254 ÷ XXXX. This will give you the Latitude minutes, example: N38° (73510.254 ÷ XXXX). Then divide 111308.184 by the SAME year to come up with your Longitude, example: W088° (111308.184 ÷ XXXX). Use your newly discovered coordinates to take you to Stage 2 of this cache.

By the way, why not kill two birds with one stone?!  This stage of the cache is only 1.5 blocks from the Home Sweet Home Cache!  (Use waypoint: GCNFZ9)

Stage 2...

At this stage you'll find a phone number to arrange tours on a sign in the front yard. The phone number is (A1B) C4D-2EF2. Replace the letters in the phone number with the actual numbers from the sign and plug them into the following coordinates: N 3B° 3D.3AB W08D° CA.B08. These new coordinates will lead you to your final cache!

Final Stage Clues...

Foliage is dense in some places, sandals are not advised for this cache. You will need to park to have a BALL and find this DIAMOND in the rough. This cache is guarded by the Keebler Elves, so you'll have to look through their door to say hello.
