BBQ Experience
is Illinois BBQ Society Recognized and
follows
Kansas City
BBQ inspired
rules and regulations for cooking, judging and
garnish.
Although a non-sanctioned event, this
fun
experience is for all teams,
regardless of experience; it is a great launch pad for 'local' and
'new' teams to cook in a
fantastic learning
environment
for honing their experience skills, and a great place for
'seasoned' teams to
try out new recipes and techniques!

(spares or baby backs),
Uncooked & Unseasoned Chicken (any type and/or cut), and

All
meat must be cooked on site with Charcoal/Wood Cookers.
No Propane
or Electric Heat Cookers
Allowed. Meat will be inspected prior to
contest. Chicken and Ribs must be raw and unseasoned; store
sealed is recommended but not required. Sausage
may be seasoned but must be uncooked. A 9"x9"
Styrofoam 'Clam-Shell' Box will be provided for each
meat category. Each box must contain enough meat
to serve six judges. Garnish is optional,
but if used is limited to Green Leaf Lettuce and/or
Green Parsley only.
To be
eligible for the Grand Champion or Reserve Grand
Champion Prizes, the team must turn-in an entry for all three
categories.
