Holy Smoke Backyard BBQ Cook-Off ~ Salem, Illinois

Holy Smoke BBQ Cook-Off

Saturday ~ August 9th, 2008

An Amazing Learning Experience!

Brought to you by:

Illinois BBQ Society & Orchard View Winery

This BBQ Experience is a pre-cursor of the The BBQ Throwdown & Jam, is a fund raiser for
the
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and St. Theresa Elementary School,
and follows Kansas City inspired rules and regulations for cooking, judging and garnish.

Although a non-sanctioned event, this fun experience is for all teams, regardless of experience; it is a great launch pad for 'local' and 'new' teams to cook in a fantastic learning environment for honing their experience skills, and a great place for 'seasoned' teams to try out new recipes and techniques!

Battle for Bullet Smoker Supremacy
Presented by: The Backyard Barbecue Store

Members of the Illinois BBQ Society will be having a knock-down, drag-out battle between the well established heavyweight champion 'bullet' smoker, the Weber Smokey Mountain and the underdog challenger, the ProQ Excel 20.  This tremendous battle will take place to see if the new kid on the block can beat, or hold it's own, against the proven champion

Come out and see history in the making as these two worthy opponents duke it out for supreme title of...

GRAND CHAMPION OF THE BATTLE FOR BULLET SMOKER SUPREMACY!
